When You Can’t Think Of A ‘Big Mistake’ You Made…

March 2, 2018 in 2017 - Australia - No Comments

This is the thirteenth part of my Reflection Series for 2017 – a self-reflection of my teaching this year.

What was the biggest mistake you made this year? How can you avoid making the same mistake in the future?

Man… I’ve been holding on to this post for months trying to think of how to answer it. That’s why there have been such big gaps in my post schedule…

The truth is, I honestly don’t know what my biggest mistake is. I’ve agonised over this for so long, and every mistake I look at I can see the benefits from. This doesn’t come from arrogance or anything like that, I just really can’t think of anything.

My husband suggested my move to the private sector, but in truth I learnt so much from that whole experience that I simply can’t say it was a real mistake.

I’m sure there are many many mistakes I’ve made over the year, but I just can’t pinpoint one significant enough to write about…
